(2013) BrightBrainer Website

http://www.brightbrainer.com/ BrightBrainer™ is a research tool to quantify the levels of Cognitive Deficit and evaluate the effect of bimanual Integrative Cognitive Exercising in individuals with full or partial upper limb mobility. It is a product of BrightCloud International Corp. who are clients of ours, so it was only natural that we were their go-to place when the time came to let the world know about BrightBrainer™. We worked hard to select one of the most modern themes on the market that would allow itself to be customized, so that we could achieve the look desired by the customer. In addition we needed a theme that would easily integrate with an eCommerce solution, since this is after all a product which needs to be sold.  Eventually we picked the Nevia theme which we customized to the customer’s specs and integrated with WooCommerce, one of the world’s most popular eCommerce plugins for WordPress. We configured that to work with PayPal and later on later on with Mijreh, which is a credit card processing portal. We also helped BCI to obtain and install an SSL certificate, so that all transactions are totally secure. As a result the website was able to obtain and keep the GoDaddy “Verified and Secured” seal. The customer’s flickR account was also linked to the site as a photo feed in the footer. Click on the image to the right to see a sample page, featuring the photo feed as well as the elegant pricing table. WordPress initially started as a blogging platform, so it has the ability to let visitors leave comments built in. Nowadays there are automated bots...
(2013) International Society for Virtual Rehabilitation Website

(2013) International Society for Virtual Rehabilitation Website

http://www.isvr.org/ Established since January 2009, the society provides a multidisciplinary forum for engineers, scientists and clinicians who are interested in employing new technologies for physical, psychological, cognitive, and social rehabilitation applications. The purpose of the society is to facilitate interaction between the communities interested in the field in order to: promote discussion, facilitate standardization, create opportunities for collaboration, represent the virtual rehabilitation community and provide recognition for excellence. The 2009 Version We were initially contacted by the ISVR in 2009, when it was first established, to design and develop their first website (click on image to the right for more details). After our numerous successful projects with the Virtual Rehabilitation Conference Websites we were not surprised when we were selected for this project.  We worked with them to come up with a design they liked and then implemented it into DreamWeaver templates, which would allow committee members without extensive knowledge of HTML and web development to make updates without any possibility of “breaking” the design. Another benefit of using DreamWeaver templates is that they could use the much simpler Adobe Contribute to make the changes, rather than DreamWeaver, which can be intimidating for the inexperienced user.  The Society also needed a way for individuals to purchase memberships electronically. A custom web application was tailored for their needs, using HTML, CSS and JavaScript with a PHP and MySQL back-end. Upon registration, the user was presented with the opportunity to pay via PayPal or send in a check. They were also sent a confirmation email with instructions how to do the same at a later time.  The ISVR administrative interface was built with the capability...
(2012) Virtual-Rehabilitation 2013 Conference Site

(2012) Virtual-Rehabilitation 2013 Conference Site

http://www.virtual-rehab.org/2013/ The Virtual Rehabilitation Conference Committee was back again for the 2013 conference website. Since the previous conference in 2011 we gained a lot of experience with WordPress and have been recommending it to all our clients. The committee really liked the many benefits it offers, so this year we implemented the website in WordPress and they loved it. We also set up an instance of the OpenConf conference planning open source system, as we usually do. It allowed them to receive, review and accept abstracts electronically. The OpenConf system (PHP & MySQL based) was lightly modified by us to fit their workflow better. Click on the image to the right to see the OpenConf main page. In addition, the Conference’s newsletter mail service provider went out of business recently, so we were able to set up a MailChimp account for them and import all their email lists successfully. We, of course, also integrated MailChimp with the new website, so that visitors can easily join the Virtual-Rehabilitation mailing list, in order to receive news on future and related...
(2012) Bright Cloud International Website

(2012) Bright Cloud International Website

http://www.brightcloudint.com/ BrightCloud International Corp are a research and development high-tech company with academic roots, as a spin-off of Rutgers University. Their experience and IP are in the fields of human-machine interface, virtual rehabilitation, remote rehabilitation and convergent therapy. When the company was formed they chose us to take care of their web presence. As with most of our clients at the time we strongly recommended (and still do) using WordPress as the website platform. The numerous benefits it provides quickly convinced BCI that this was the way to go.  Using the PageLines WordPress theme we developed this beautiful and efficient website for them. As with other WordPress websites it allowed for quick and easy updates and an easy and structured way of posting news items. Posting news regularly is incredibly important as it is one of the few ways of telling that a website is active and making it as easy as possible to do so was monumental. BCI love their website and we continue to provide support whenever...
(2011) Alfa Art Gallery Website

(2011) Alfa Art Gallery Website

http://www.alfaart.org/ The Alfa Art Center A NJ Non-Profit Corporation (a.k.a. Alfa Art Gallery) is a privately owned and operated art gallery in the heart of New Brunswick, NJ. When Alfa was first conceived, it was to be a modern, high-tech, interdisciplinary gallery which would not only display conventional art but would combine music and paintings, and dance, and theater, and sculptures, and installations. It would strive to satisfy the community’s craving for art while taking advantage of high technologies and thus try to be unique. We at NJ InfoTech were involved not only with the website but with the IT infrastructure as well – the HD projector and screen, surround sound, wireless microphones, wireless network, printers, copiers, scanners, and much more, but here we will just focus on the website.  The 2007 Version  A high-tech gallery, like the one envisioned could not exist without a modern website, which would feature not only static content, but video too, would look great and at the same time be easy to manage and easy to use, providing an exceptional user experience.  Our quest began with the design. After many hours of hard work we arrived at a product which we both liked (see image to the right). Then we implemented it into DreamWeaver templates, which would allow employees and interns without extensive knowledge of HTML and web development to make updates without any possibility of “breaking” the design. Another benefit of using DreamWeaver templates is that they could use the much simpler Adobe Contribute to make the changes, rather than DreamWeaver, which can be intimidating for the inexperienced user.  In addition we...
